Also known as Wirehaired Vizsla, Drotszoru Magyar Vizsla
A russet-gold Velcro dog with a wiry coat and a big appetite for work
The Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla is a rugged, weatherproof cousin of the smooth Vizsla, bred to point, track and retrieve. It is affectionate and stays close to its people, but needs plenty of exercise and does not like being left alone.

This breed needs about 120 minutes of activity a day. Around 7 sitter-led sessions a week keeps that routine going when work or travel gets in the way.

Best-matched service
Around two hours a day for a healthy adult, including running and mental work. Without it the dog becomes restless and can be destructive.
Not for long stretches. Vizslas bond closely and often develop separation anxiety, so short absences and a well-exercised dog work best.
Only moderately. The dense wiry coat sheds less than many breeds, though brushing removes loose hair and keeps it in good condition.
