Each sitter sets their own prices, per hour, visit, day or night, and shows them on their profile. With independent sitters a 10% service fee is added at checkout, plus 25% VAT on that fee, so a 1,000 kr booking costs 1,125 kr in total. You always see the full price before you confirm.
How Pet Lounge worksEvery application is read by a person and never approved automatically. We check the sitter's identity and run a background check through an external partner before approval, and a profile only appears in search once it and the payout details are complete. You can read reviews from other pet owners and meet the sitter before you book.
Read about trust and safetyNo, Pet Lounge is not an insurer. Bookings made and paid through Pet Lounge are instead covered by the Pet Lounge Protection Fund. The fund is not insurance: it is a discretionary fund that may contribute to vet costs if your pet is accidentally injured during a booking. You pay the first 500 kr and the fund may reimburse up to 1,500 kr per incident. We recommend that you also have your own pet insurance.
Read about the Protection FundCancel more than 7 days before the start date and you get a full refund, minus any payment processing fees. Cancel 3-7 days before the start and you get 50% back, and if you cancel less than 72 hours before the booking starts there is no refund. The full policy is in our terms and the pet owner agreement. If a sitter cancels, we try to find you another sitter, and you get a full refund if we cannot.
Read the pet owner agreementYes. With cat sitting the sitter visits your home to feed your cat, clean the litter tray and keep it company, so your cat stays in familiar surroundings. If your cat copes well with new places, it can instead stay overnight in a sitter's home, an ordinary home with no cages.

Walks are priced per hour or per walk, depending on how the sitter has set their prices, and you get a photo update after every walk. For a fixed routine you can set up recurring walks.

Find a sitter near youYou always pay through Pet Lounge, never directly to the sitter. You pay by card through Stripe's secure checkout or with Swish, either when you book or once the sitter has confirmed. The sitter is paid only after the booking has been completed.
