A springy, terrier-like herder with curls and opinions
The Pumi is a lively Hungarian herding dog with a curly coat, tipped ears and a terrier-like temperament. It is bright, agile and vocal, and needs a lot of exercise and mental work to stay balanced.

This breed needs about 90 minutes of activity a day. Around 5 sitter-led sessions a week keeps that routine going when work or travel gets in the way.

Yes, they are among the most vocal herding breeds and bark at noises and movement. Early training and enough exercise reduce it but do not remove it.
Very little, since the curly coat holds loose hair. It does need regular brushing and trimming to stay free of mats.
Only with an owner who provides lots of daily exercise and can manage the noise. Most Pumis are happier with a garden and an active family.
