Also known as Silky terrier, Silky
A silky-coated terrier with a big-dog attitude
Developed in Australia from crosses between the Australian and Yorkshire Terrier, the Silky is a lively, curious little dog with a long, fine, flat coat. It is a keen digger and chaser at heart, and needs regular brushing to keep the coat tangle-free.

Very little, because the coat is fine and silky rather than fluffy. It does need regular brushing to prevent tangles.
It is fine with older, considerate children. Its strong chase instinct makes it a poor match for cats and small pets unless raised with them.
